HSP/HSF/CDR Spring Symposium 2012 Human Security of IDPs by Disaster: Analysing National Response to Internal Displacement Caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake
One year has passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake, which left a number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) away from home in temporary accommodations. They continue to live in fear of nuclear power plant disasters without knowing how long they have to stay there. We will examine how to save lives and dignity of those individuals suffering from this unprecedented great disaster of their human security.
The symposium is co-organised by NPO Human Security Forum (HSF) and the Center for Documentation of Refugees and Migrants (CDR), which manages the Human Mobility Studies (Corporate Sponsored Program: Hogakukan Co.,Ltd.) in the Graduate Program on Human Security (HSP) at the University of Tokyo.
