Descriptions | Mr Sanjay Mathur, Regional Director for Asia of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), will speak about the work of UNOPS in Asia and the Pacific. UNOPS is a UN agency specialising in infrastructure, procurement and project management, and has been implementing a number of development and peace-building projects in conflict zones, post-disaster situations and other challenging operational environments. This seminar will focus in particular on the current status and challenges of development cooperation in Asia, including Afghanistan and Myanmar, and how sustainable development can be achieved through strengthened partnerships. |
