Title Investigating possible violations of human rights law: the case of UN Commissions of Inquiry
Descriptions In this seminar, the speaker, who serves on the UN Commission of Inquiry for Burundi, will speak in her personal capacity. She first discuss different types of investigations and the different purposes they serve. She will also comment briefly on the different contexts, notably whether there is an armed conflict or not. Following that, the speaker will discuss Commissions of Inquiry.
