Description:  

Can International Humanitarian Law (IHL) deal with current tech challenges including cyber operations, drones, and autonomous systems? Professor Lubell will talk about contemporary issues in International Humanitarian Law via Skype.
He is a leading figure on International Humanitarian Law, in particular on contemporary challenges and use of force. He was the Head of the School of Law at the University of Essex, UK, from 2014 until 2017, and now also serves as the Swiss Chair of International Humanitarian Law at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
